Like most Americans, my mind has been on the terrorist attacks that occurred seven years ago today and our future National Security. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but Obama's "lipstick on a pig" comment reveals something striking about him that no one has mentioned up to this point.
If we give Obama the benefit of the doubt, that he wasn't deliberately taking aim at Sarah Palin, then the alternative is even MORE frightening. It means that he was completely unaware or simply ignored the fact that she changed the context of the metaphor at the RNC when she made HER lipstick remark.
If he is unable to discern what's happening in AMERICAN culture and rephrase his remarks appropriately, then why should we believe that he would be able to make culture-sensitive foreign policy decisions critical to our national security through DIPLOMACY?????
